1 package Lipton Onion soup mix
If roast is frozen, put it in warm-ish water to thaw, not in microwave or hot water (it will start to cook).
Put thawed roast beef in Crockpot, sprinkle soup mix on top and cook for 6-10 hours. (The longer you cook the roast beef, the more tender it will probably be.)
Option 1:
Serve with mashed potatoes, stuffing and canned corn/green beans.
Option 2:
Cut up an onion, carrots and potatoes to put in there for the last 2-3 hours.
If you don’t think you’ll eat all of the leftover meat, you can freeze it in a Ziploc bag. Or you can make roast beef sandwiches
Roast Beef Shopping List
Beef meat – there are lots of kinds, I use chuck/shoulder roast. It’s usually cheapest and is best for Crockpot. Unless you’re cooking for a lot of people, don’t buy one as big as Mom does. ☺
